Artist's Comments

I love this picture because of how unintentional it was. I was walking around the village where my aunt lives in England and as I was walking by a playhouse, I saw in one of the back windows a bunch of manequin heads to put wigs on (there's a name for them, I just can't think of it), so I took a picture of it since it looked a bit bizarre. It wasn't until I got home and zoomed in on the photo that I realized only one of the heads had actual features whereas the others were blank. To me it kinda looks as if that one head was looking out the window, all alone in a crowd... deep stuff.

Ooooh, I really like it! Man, there's cool crap in England .. you'd never see this in a window anywhere else .. at least I don't think so. Anyway, that's awesome that you didn't plan this, cuz it totally looks planned. Maybe it was meant to be. And maybe all the other heads are just waiting their turns to get some features painted on ..

dude, totally understand! I think it's really creepy too! When I was little I was always having nightmares about manequins coming alive and chasing me... *shudder*

Very surreal. Great composition and such too. And contrast- the stark white against stark black. Verra nice indeed!

Thank you verra much! (sorry, I just liked how you said "verra" instead of "very" and I felt the need to copy!)

Haha- it's from this ridiculous historical fiction/romance novel that I bought at the planned parenthood book sale years ago. It all kind of revolves around 17th century Scotland and time travel and a Scott's man named Jamie who we are constantly reminded is "very attractive" by his wife (from the future) who is the narrator. Anyhow. The dialog is all written colloquially with accents and he constantly says "verra" instead of "very."

Romance novels (especially the historical ones) are sooo ridiculous and entertaining! Wow, that just made that word oh so much better! That totally just made my day...

Romance novels amaze me. Especially those that involve men wearing kilts. This one is more historical fiction than romance - it's actually a best seller so it's not utter crap. But there's enough romance and there's enough of a romantic tone for it to be oh so amusing. I'll bring it to one of our sleepovers. Truth be told- I've never gotten too far into it. There's a very long stint in which no one is having sex and nothing romantic happens that I just can't get through. Damn. Haha.
